If you remember the 1970s then you’ll remember these iconic pieces of pottery from Hornsea, their classic “Saffron” design. These tall condiment pots (salt and pepper) shouldn’t be confused with their albeit lovely, smaller version: these beauties measure in at a whopping 10.5 cm (4 in) high.
Both are in good condition. The seals are very tight and there is only a minor “ding” to one base (not visible except from underneath) – and the teak tops are in good shape too, restored to a natural wood effect with a food-safe finish rather than a dark stain. We think they’re handsome… in a very 1970s way.
