This old bobbin was made into an egg timer by Bobbin All Over The World, York sometime in the 1970s, which – according to our calculations – makes this almost a vintage antique re-purposed item! The bobbin was originally made by Dixons in England.
A good-looking decorative item or indeed a useful kitchen accessory (although please note we can’t guarantee absolutely accurate time-keeping from an item which is 40+ years old!)
The bobbin measures approximately 16cm (6½ in) in height with a base diameter of 6cm (2¼ in).
