Vintage Celluloid S. A. Reider Nodding Stork with Baby Bobble Head

A rare vintage celluloid plastic figure made by S.A. Reider. One of a variety of toys/gifts made by the company, this one would most likely celebrate the birth or impending arrival of a baby, playing as it does on the folk tale of storks delivering babies! In common with many of the other figures this one has a nodding / bobbing head and comes with a tiny baby figure which dangles (somewhat unnervingly) from the stork’s neck.

A charming and quirky item – certainly a little bit different! This one still has its original label intact and is in good vintage condition. The stork measures approximately 10cm (4 in.) high and 8.5 cm (3¼ in.) long.
