Charming Veneered Bird-Shaped Box

A very charming bird-shaped box which appears to be made of small layers and strips of different coloured wood veneer and is possibly papier mache in construction.  The box measures 3cm length on its longest side by 2cm wide by 1cm tall.  The inside of the box is a reddish-pink coloured fabric.
