Early 1970s German Red ELAC RD-100 Flip Clock Radio

The ELAC RD-100 is one of the more distinctive flip clock models from the early 1970s, notable for its front-facing controls and display and its large upright form with curved edges and sloping rear. In this bright red colour, which contrasts with the black front and side controls, it’s even more of a statement. The RD-100 is a true flip clock with alarm and AM/FM radio. The photos tell the story…

This one is fully-functional and has only one minor flaw – a small section of plastic from the rear left corner (not visible in ordinary use) is missing – see photos for details. Measures approximately 18cm (7 in.) square.
