If you know your pottery then you would probably associate Prinknash Pottery and their earthenware with metallic or pewter glazes, but this piece could not be more different.
It combines cool tones of pale blue and grey in a leaf style design with a white tapering-shaped ground to produce a very chic looking sugar bowl or preserve pot which would add a bit of retro style to any table.
Diameter at the top is 6.5cm (2½in) and at the base 7.5cm (3in) and a height of 6cm (2¼in) excluding the lid. Condition is very good with no noticeable chips or cracks. The maker’s mark is clearly embossed into the base.
