Vintage British Thornton Draughtsman’s Adjustable Triangle QA 21B

Something a little bit different, this is a draughtsman’s (draftsman if you’re in the US!) adjustable triangle tool made by British Thornton – more famous for their slide rules – and dates from the 1960s. In terms of functionality, this is likely to appeal to engineers, architects, and other technical drawing specialists, but in terms of aesthetics, it appeals full stop…. or maybe that’s just me!  The packaging is very nicely done, with the triangle sitting inside the box alongside a protective pouch and with instructions for use included. The outer box is a little worn and has some discloration but the contents inside appear to be completely unused.
