Vintage Codeg Chess Set with Non-Creased Board and Carved Wood Pieces

A vintage chess set made by Codeg (rather more famous for their Dalek toys, admittedly!) and dating from the 1960s. The set features carved wooden pieces and a non-folding board which is made of sturdy card. The outer box is in reasonable condition for its age – but not without wear and tear and some surface loss – and the set is complete.
The board measures a little over 10 in. bv 10 in. (26cm x 26cm)
